Snellgrove Seafood - Centerville

The food is amazing! The seafood is outstanding, and the staff is wonderful! Just a heads up: they only accept cash or checks for payment, so keep that in mind if you're a first-time visitor!

I ordered the catfish, which was quite tasty, but my fries arrived lukewarm. Fortunately, the server was kind enough to bring out a fresh batch for me and one of my companions. Since it was my first visit, I repeatedly heard others mention that cold fries are a common issue here. With limited side options available, I believe this needs to be addressed. While we waited to be seated on the lovely porch, another patron noted that the shrimp was difficult to peel, and one person in my group had a similar experience. I suggest that management consider looking into these two issues. Additionally, it would have been nice to have the option for pan-seared scallops or shrimp, as the menu seems to focus heavily on traditional deep-fried dishes.

We were so happy to venture off the beaten path for some local cuisine. The catfish was outstanding! Kristina provided excellent service. I just wish we lived closer!

The catfish fillets and fried shrimp were fantastic. The fried oysters were also tasty, though they were quite greasy and needed to be blotted dry with napkins before eating. Unfortunately, the cooked shrimp were overcooked and didn’t have much flavor. We arrived at 5:30 and learned that they hadn’t received their delivery for the all-you-can-eat boned-in Wels, which almost made us consider going to another restaurant. However, we decided to explore other options on the menu. We typically stick to the all-you-can-eat selections, especially the catfish, which are excellent.

This is a fantastic restaurant! Despite being busy, the service was prompt. Our server was exceptionally polite and attentive throughout our meal. The food was fresh and served hot. I would definitely come back to dine here again!
