Saravanaa Bhavan East Ham

Ordered paneer and paper roast dosas, with medhu wada. All were to the point and the different chutneys made them even better. The Paneer Dosa was surprisingly so good. Medhu Vada, lived to its name where it was soft and less oily. The place was buzzing and brimming with people, but still the staff handled them all with a big smile. 5 stars to all the staff who served us. There was another customer next to us, who we thought was a bit rude towards the staff, yet the staff had the same courteous attitude towards that person. If you are going here on a holiday, be prepared to stay for awhile to get a table. But the stay will be worth it.

Totally vegetarian Indian cuisine at an exemplar level; the most unique chilli paneer and crispy dosas packed with spice are among the highlights in the huge selection, which is predominantly of the Southern region but also incorporates some Punjabi and Indo-Chinese options. Surrounded by competetive restaurants, Saravanaa Bhavan stands out.

Great options for vegetarians. Quality was good and price is affordable. We didn't like the bajji though as it was oily and didn't taste authentic. Spring rolls was top notch. Rava dosa was good, it was bit spicy due to lot of black pepper added to it. Vegetable dosa was very nice as was the drinks rosemilk and their in-house famous drink Triveni. Highly recommended to visit. Service was very good and staff were friendly.

The place has still got it! First time visiting after quite a few years and it was bustling for a late Tuesday evening, suffice to say the quality hasn't deteriorated, I would actually say it's kind of improved even. I had the North Indian thali, each dish had its own unique flavours, we did request it to be extra spicy and they did not disappoint. A lot on offer in this bargain meal, I felt guilty not finishing such delicious food.

This restaurant offers an excellent variety of South Indian dishes. We experienced quick and efficient service, making it a fantastic spot for any meal of the day—so much so that we found it hard to leave! The prices are also very reasonable, and we can’t wait to come back. If you're not familiar with Indian cuisine, the staff are very helpful in explaining the menu to you.
