West Lodge Park

We chose to visit as the pictures looked great and we wondered what it was like. The drive in is impressive as you go past the arboretum and its worth a visit a good start. We chose the terrace bar for a drink and enjoy the afternoon sun. The place looks good and the music nice but a always the attention to detail was very sadly lacking. Waited an age to order and even longer to receive our order. The family left the table adjacent to us and the table was still uncleared 30 minutes later. Another customer had to approach the staff to order. We could easily have driven off in the time it took for the bill to arrive. Very disappointed and won't be returning and if this is the level of service wouldn't like to try the rooms or food. And over hearing the conversations ours want the exception.

I've never stayed here, but eaten here a few times. On my family's visit here last week I had an excellent dish of pan-fried trout. The hotel's got its own brand of gin, which I also tried. Beautiful surroundings with arboretum, small lake and a luxurious interior with framed portraits.

Love the surrounding, very beautiful and relaxing. Staff very kind and polite. Food very tasty, rooms needs some updates as it was not my first time stay, but very clean. There is also a coffee machine in the room. Very pleasant stay. Love the outside space.

A country oasis within the M25 that deserves 5 . Friendly helpful staff, quiet and well maintained rooms, and what an incredible setting in the Beale arboretum. And to top it off the breakfast was excellent. Lots of fresh fruit, variety of cereal (not just big brand packets), and the cooked options were delicious and poached eggs perfectly soft.

I had a wonderful time at a 70th birthday party. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the room was lovely. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast afterward. All the staff were very helpful.
