Yeah, yeah--I know you are used to people raving about a dining establishment when it little deserves it, but my adult son, husband and I absolutely loved the food here. The hotdogs are less dressed than encased in toppings and flavour. The toppings are unusual, and each dog (or hamburger) totally commits to its own theme. Sure, there is mustard and ketchup on the table, but who needs it with a squeeze bottle of ranch dressing and another of an incredibly-flavourful chipotle dressing waiting to take your meal to a higher level? The fries are a surprising artistry here; we were aching to order more, but we were just too full after our milkshakes and hot dogs (I had the Yorkshire burger and shrimp on the burger was a revelation). Oh--I didn't mention the milkshakes? Thick, lovingly individually-made and make-your-eyes-cross rich and good. The place is small--we ate at an outdoor table in the welcome evening breeze--but the service is friendly and English-speaking if you need it. How did we end up here? Our Spanish-adventurous son had made a buddy in Mismaloya who recommended three local favourites for dining, in no particular order: Los Muertos Pizza, Los Molcajetes, and Urban Dogs. I'm sure they're all good, but even though it was a bit out of our way in the Versailles area, we loved Urban Dogs!
