Le San Carlu - Cervione

As one of the families that are happy enough to take away for our vacation this year after Corsica, we were easily worried when we looked at the effects of COVID-19 on one of our favorite restaurants during our visit in 2019. to the happiness it has minimal impact on...San carlu from which the customers are aware, due to the enormous efforts of the excellent employees. everyone in the opposite should go here for a Thursday night paella, if high quality food can be enjoyed in a wonderful family atmosphere. we later returned to our holiday and enjoy wonderful dishes like frito misto, pork fillet with figatellu sauce and veal with cream mushroom. all the dishes were first class, but a special mention must go to the staff who are cheerful, friendly and wonderfully efficient and friendly. Do not miss an evening here if they can help him.

An excellent host and an excellent kitchen. we arrived late after lunch with a hungry little child and got an excellent fishing season and a very friendly and professional service. Finally we lacked a few euro to pay the bill (only cash accepted) that. was not a problem for the generous host. he even offered us a brandy. that only happens in Corsica. Many thanks.

After the arrival on Saturday we went early on Sunday evening to la san carlu without reservation. we had luck getting a table for 5 outside, where the fans made on the soon-and-around for a pleasantly cool atmosphere on the terrace. and two of us had local fish from the special menu and that must be a recommendation. beautiful fresh fish boiled really good and if they munch through 7 fish for dinner they can not really complain about worth. also moldy mushroom was excellent and the staff is happy to change the dishes from the menu on request. a beautiful fresh white wine from the list of the Corsian origin accompanies the fish dishes excellent. only enough space for a local dessert pastizza and again try well. great eating, excellent staff and a brilliant evening. on Thursday it goes definitiw to paella.

The menu is limited and the food is good always fresh fish plus a few other options. The portions are very generous and the service is very friendly. The charm is just that a friendly place by a beach not overrun by too...many visitors.

We stayed at the San Carlu and had a great time. Very well located, it is quiet, 1 minute away from a sandy beach (many others are nearby and quite empty for August). We highly recommend the flats and the excellent restaurant.
