Cindy's Kountry Kitchen - Chadbourn

If you are looking for real Southern cooking, this is the place to go. We stopped by on our way back from North Myrtle Beach. We had the Sunday buffet. While the buffet has a relatively small selection, everything we had was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken reminded me of the fried chicken my Mother made when I was a child. Extra crispy and cooked perfectly. My wife had a serving of the chicken and dumplings. I knew they were good when with her first bite she went, mmmm. She said they were some of the best she 's ever had. I told Mr. Donald, when I checked out, the chicken reminded me of my Mom 's, and he said he heard that often. There was a huge selection of desserts, all handmade from scratch. If you get a chance, I highly recommend you stop by and enjoy some authentic Southern cooking.

Donald and Cindy have done an excellent job of reviving this place with enticing daily specials and classic dinner options! Cindy's Kountry Kitchen is truly a remarkable "Back from the Brink" success story. The building was almost completely destroyed by a hurricane, and the previous owners were unable to make repairs, leading to the loss of a beloved local restaurant. Now, thanks to their efforts, it has transformed into a thriving establishment filled with charm and vibrancy once again!

This restaurant is simply amazing! It's a hidden gem that really impresses. The interior is so unique, as it was once an old movie theater. The food is not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the owner is a lovely woman!

Great home cooked meals at a really reasonable price. BBQ was really good.

Charming little spot with plenty of personality. My father-in-law claimed it was the best burger he's ever had, and he's quite selective. The meatloaf and sweet potato fries were also excellent.
