Feedback gevenThe food in Kolkata has given me the experience of both the best and worse hospitality. The place I went to lunch comes under the worse category. Angan serves bad food with the pages of bad attitude by the service staff. At 1:30 a.m. the place was abandoned and shady. Friend recommended the place for some good foods, as the supplies took many time. The ambience of the place is depressing. No lights at all, can not read the menu. And on top it smells alcohol, even as a bar it's bad. Anyway, we ordered food. The contractor was arrogant, sir wanted to accept our order. The food took forever to reach the table and when he asked about the status, he replied rudely. come to food; Mutton Curry was the basis and was expected to be good. Pretty spicy and meat was hard enough. Chicken tikka masala was again very sharp, but comparatively good. Fish chips were not close to fish chips. of fish fry, my problem is if you do not understand fish chips do not give false hopes to write it in the menu. And the cherry upstairs was Chicken Mayonnaise Sandwich; the worst. The staleb red was layered with boiled shredded chicken mix with mayonnaise; extremely poor. Couldn't take it after the second bite. Asked for Gajar Ka Halwa, to which the server said yes they refused after a few minutes. Spend 1600 and trust me was very dissatisfied and disappointed. Have much less and had a fabulous meal. Painful service, pitiful ambience and not so good food. Never go back.
This is a very small restaurant, but the Chinese is one of the best in the entire Howrah district. Love Hakka noodles
The food is tasty, but the high prices might not be justified. However, the Biryani stands out as the best among the Mughlai dishes available.
The prices at this restaurant are high, and while the food quality is good, it is not worth the expensive bill. Other aspects of the experience are enjoyable.
In central and south Howrah, there are limited options for dining out. Angan stands out as a great choice for affordable and delicious food. I particularly enjoy their Afgani Kabab and Biryani. The other dishes are also tasty. However, one drawback is that the restaurant has a bar inside, which may not be suitable for families. Most people prefer to get takeaway instead. I recommend making the restaurant more family-friendly as there is a real need for a family-oriented dining option in this area.
