La Joya Mexican - Chambersburg

I stopped by for tamales and treated myself to a cantaloupe agua Fresca. It was so delicious! The drink was heavenly! Not too sweet and oh so refreshing. The tamales though, they were out of this world! The chicken had a sultry mild heat and the pork was fabulously spicy! They taste like what my Tia used to make when I was younger! I cannot recommend this place enough! Go there! You will not be disappointed!

It dosen't look like much, but the food was phenomenal. I don't even really like Mexican food all that much, but this was really good authentic Mexican food. My family and I went here for my husband's birthday, so it was 2 adults and 2 children( 15 and 11) and we all loved our food. My youngest daughter really loved their family made salsa, and she dosen't even like salsa! The waitress told us the restaurant is family owned and operated, and the salsa was made from her own mother's garden tomatoes! They even have Cow tongue and cow head, traditional Mexican dishes you cannot get around here. Please ignore the stains on the carpet, the wet bench under the air conditioner, and the old building and give this place a try. Their food is what matters here, and it's really good and well worth a try. The customer service was friendly, and we got our food in a timely manner. To be fair we were the only people there, which I hope is not typical because I want this place to last as it is now a family favorite!! Please give this place a try if you like Mexican food, it's worth the money and you won't be sorry!!

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food and service are excellent! Will definitely be going here again (and again). My only gripe is that by the time I was done with my meal, I didn't have any room left for some churros. My compliments to the chef and staff, and an extra ? since Google only allows 5. ?

Birthday party for my boyfriend. Very great experience. Food, entertainment and venue were perfect.

The food is absolutely delicious! Very authentic Mexican food! The guacamole was fresh and served with chips and salsa! The owner is delightful and makes most of the food! Loved the strawberry water! I definitely will be going there again!!!
