The food is always lovely and the owners are very kind! The vibe is low key, but can be a nice date spot.
Rating: 5.0/5.0 Peking Garden is what I would call Champaign-Urbana's hidden gem. Located on North Randolph Street between West Church Street and West Park Avenue, roughly a block away from the Hyatt Place in Downtown Champaign, this restaurant serves up Chinese fare. I have dined here countless times as an undergraduate and have always left with a full stomach. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, and the owner is friendly. But most importantly, the food is delicious. Order from the Chinese menu here! Note: all photos below are of fish and pork dishes
Good authentic food, only a few tables so seating is limited. They seem to do a lot of take out business. Will go back again!
Overall a solid restaurant of great value. Their seasoning can be a bit on the heavy side with Some dishes being better than others. My recommendations are: Their lunch specials, their steamed stuffed tofu with white sauce, their green beans. Though I don't have photos, I also recommend: gansho shrimp, disanxien, and sizzling rice with seafood.
