Maverick's Wood Grill - Champlin

Was a great experience and we WILL return. Burgers were cooked perfectly (like mine very rare), and you can taste the wood smoke. We really enjoyed our dinner on their outside patio. Going back again soon!!

Not big on posting but my first visit and had to share! Sitting on patio was supposed to be a beer and sunshine! We were greeted warmly and told how to get to the patio! OK its not like its a huge place but there are a few twists and turns! We sat down and Austin was our server! Brought us water with plenty of ice, plates and silverware! Right! And so what! Well, so many places today think the customer comes second that’s why!! We were there for sunshine and a beer but ended up seeing their sign out front! Millions of “Wings” served! Gotta try those we thought! Not expecting much but listen….just listen….wood fired meaty wings perfectly cooked in whiskey BBQ sauce (may be a bit wrong on the sauce name). The 2 of us devoured the wings, looked at each other and laughed! Luckily, we shared because they were so good someone coulda lost a finger! We will be back! Next time wings and a main course. Its a nice friendly place and I gotta believe that menu has other great offerings! Austin rocks!

It was our first time here and we weren't disappointed! Our son recently moved to the area and we found this hidden gem tonight. Everything is made in house and we all enjoyed our sandwiches and Clucked up fries. We ordered wings for an appetizer (dry rub) with Bleu Cheese, which was absolutely amazing! If you like Bleu Cheese dressing, this is one of the best! Friendly staff, Austin took care of us and helped us with menu choices. Thank you for a great experience, we will definately be back.

This was our first experience dining here. The quality of food mirrored that of cafeteria steam table food. Kids' mac and cheese was crusty on top and gelatinous, definitely not a cheese sauce as described on the menu. Meatloaf glaze was burnt and still pink in the center. Nashville hot chicken sandwich was over cooked to where the breading had a burnt taste. Menu advertised cole slaw as the side but came with a store bought pasta salad. Over priced menu. Locals were treated well. Don't waste your money on this establishment.

Some of the best meals I have ever eaten were at Mavericks! Delicious, unique burgers cooked over the fire to perfection. The fries are what keep us coming back perfectly crispy and seasoned, always hot. Plenty of varieties to choose from on the menu so there 's something everybody will enjoy and always new things to try. One of our favorite spots and always near the top of our list when my wife and play our least favorite game what do we want to eat tonight ?
