Mido Sushi - Chandler

The food is delicious, and the service is excellent; however, the atmosphere could benefit from some attention and a thorough spring cleaning. During my last three visits, while the food has consistently been great, the air has felt musty. Both my girlfriend and I have been troubled by allergies, and someone has been coughing each time we've been there—three visits in a row! To the owners, if there’s someone who is constantly coughing in such a small space, please address it for the sake of all your guests. Additionally, I recommend changing the air filters. The bar area also didn’t seem open for use during my visits. If this restaurant improves its ambiance and cleanliness, it could easily earn a solid 4.5 rating.

This is our favorite sushi spot in the area. We’ve been coming here for a few years, and we’ve always enjoyed the food. We highly recommend it!

We have been dining at this sushi restaurant for over ten years, and it remains our favorite local spot! If you're a fan of spicy rolls, you'll love the variety of specialty rolls that the chef crafts, many of which have a nice kick to them. However, there are plenty of non-spicy options available as well. It's worth noting that the staff has largely remained the same throughout the years, which really speaks to the quality of the place. The owner and staff have watched my kids grow up, which adds a personal touch to our visits. The service is consistently excellent, and the food quality is outstanding. My top recommendations are the Special Roll (spicy), the Chandler Roll (a twist on shrimp tempura), and the Sunshine Roll (the carrot adds a wonderful texture).

Fine example of a neighborhood Japanese restaurant, with a wide menu of Japanese dishes along with a Sushi menu. Modest inside with table service, the staff is helpful in explaining unfamiliar foods. Have gone there for years and the Sushi is always good. They have a large number of innovative combinations that originated at the restaurant. It's not fancy, but the owner seems always to be working in the kitchen behind the Sushi bar. Reasonable prices and a happy hour that includes the Sushi prices.

I was a frequent customer of Sushi Hama down in Tucson and Mido Sushi is a great place as well. I took my son there for lunch today and had a very nice lunch. The food is good and the prices are very good in 2024.
