Tao Garden - Chandler

This restaurant used to be good, but it's definitely not anymore. The quality has really declined. The spring rolls were overcooked and soggy on the inside, while burnt on the outside. The vegetables were only semi-cooked and tasted bitter. The rice seemed to be made with recycled shrimp. Nothing felt fresh. I won’t be dining there again.

We've been dining here for over 15 years, and it's truly an authentic family-run Chinese restaurant. The service has consistently been excellent, and everyone is incredibly friendly. The owners are fantastic and make you feel like part of the family. The food never disappoints and is absolutely delicious! Given the generous portions, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the food makes every penny worthwhile. We also tried takeout during Covid and were very pleased. There's plenty of parking available in the shopping center. Don’t let the modest exterior deceive you—this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit!

Tao Garden is pretty good! I like most of the entrees they offer. I probably had almost all of them over the years. I looked at some other people's suggestions and they all looked good! Their restaurant is located on the corner of the plaza, close to the street. This is good because then it is easy to get there and park. There is a Taco Bell close by though and their drive through gets busy. There is enough parking in the parking lot which is good. The service is usually fast but when it is rush hour, it can get slow. I would suggest the hot and sour soup. That is always a popular dish with my family and friends. I also like a couple of their noodle dishes. I think Hong Kong style noodles. I like their chicken dishes more than the beef dishes or the fish dishes. Great flavors and textures.

Yelp got it wrong to give Tao Garden such low rating. Tao Garden your food is delicious!!! I don't usually give any rating but today I need to. I eat around enough to know their food is always consistently delicious, perfect ingredients with amazing aroma for a reasonable price and so much choices!!! Give this place a chance and you will see other restaurants price gouge on their mediocre menu.

This place is incredible. I was recently in Hong Kong and eating the food here really transported me back. The fish clay pot might be one of the best I've eaten in my entire life! The fish was cooked beautifully, tofu was plentiful, and sauce was warm and hearty but not too heavy. The beef clay pot is also extremely high quality. It's very hard to find this level of Cantonese authenticity around the valley but I'm so glad it's available here. The portion sizes here are also very generous. Will be returning next week, and the week after, and the week after that for the foreseeable future!
