Dinner plans for 4 last evening. 1st friend arrives at 6 and is seated. It should be noted that she is literally the only patron in the entire restaurant… no other tables and no one at the bar. Not a single worker brought her a water or asked if she wanted a drink while waiting. We arrived at 6:10 sit and another 4-5 min before deciding to leave. As we are walking out I said to the hostess… when we are the only patrons in this entire place service should be a little faster. Her reply was “she didn’t know you were here”! I’m sorry… isn’t that your job to let the server know there is a table??? Are we supposed to walk into the back and let someone know we want service??? We went down the street and had a fantastic meal and service at Church and Union. 204 North has always been a go to for us but if a Friday night at 6pm has zero patrons and your only patrons not being taken care of… management needs an overhaul.
Had reservations it was not honored. Waited for little over an hour after my reservation time only to be told there were still 4 parties in front of me that needed to be seated. Don’t give the option to RSVP if you’re not equipped to fulfill the request. Poor service. I ended going to another restaurant.
Service was sporadic, waited 10 minutes for salt and pepper. Food was lukewarm at best. Restaurant was empty so I'm not sure what happened. Seemed like our server was under the influence of something.
The hosts at the front of the establishment were extremely professional and patient, traits that are often overlooked. Their excellent service extended not only to my party but to all patrons present. The quality of the food surpassed any I have had since my move from Detroit to Charlotte 17 years ago. The jerk lamb, macaroni and cheese, greens, and cornbread were all seasoned to perfection. The waitress, Stephanie, recommended the blueberry margarita, which proved to be an excellent choice. The peach cobbler I ordered to go was also delightful. Credit must be given to the head chef for overseeing a team that consistently delivers such high-quality dishes. The salmon bites, which I had as an appetizer, were also seasoned impeccably. Our experience at the establishment was thoroughly enjoyable, and I look forward to returning in the future.
