Mariposa - Chaotte

While Mariposa is usually very good, they must have been having an off day. I think it had to do with the kitchen service. There was only one other party of two when we arrived at 11:30 a.m. with our party of five. Service was very slow in getting our food--took about 30 minutes. Some of our food was only luke warm and all did not come out at the same time.

We had gone for my dad's birthday, it took about 20 minutes before our server came to place our drink orders and about 20 more for her to come back for our food. It most definitely wasn't that busy either

The location was great downtown. We loved the atmosphere and energy. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. We relied on them to help us choose from all of the incredible dishes. Great for friends, business and for foodies.

We went for the Jazz Brunch on Father's day. Was a little confused because my companion received a different menu to mine. Once we finally got that sorted, placed an oder for mains and for French toast to come out shortly after. Confusingly, our server neglected to place all of the orders with the kitchen and they ran out of French Toast despite us arriving and ordering well before the busy Father's Day crowd arrived. We did try some of the other sweeter options, but they were not as good. This is my 3rd visit and service during my last visit (my birthday) was mediocre as well.

We had the bananas foster French toast and the pork belly bowl. Both were fantastic and I'm very picky about French toast. The drinks were also generous sizes and delicious. I only wish the jazz band were more centered but that's not possible in this gorgeous space.
