Feedback gevenI read that this place was possible shutting down soon. This is a good thing. My experience is about earlier today (12/19/23) at Taste Cafe. I had no issues with the food, although I must say that I could made everything at home myself. I did like it and I would probably get it again. My main issue was with the cashier. When it was my turn, she didn't bother greeting me. She immediately got on her phone and started texting. The entire time I was staring at her. This was awkward because there was myself and another person behind me staring at her watching her text. When she finally finished her busy conversation, she still never bothered to greet me but scanner my items. Didn't say what the total was, didn't give me my receipt, and didn't even say to have a nice day. Hopefully the store that replaces it will have better employees that have customer service skills.
Food is great. Normally I won’t give a bad review, but this morning 2/17/23 I was served old coffee. I took one sip after getting to my desk and had to go to a sink and dump the rest. This dampened my mood, the taste was worse than 6 hour old coffee.
This is some of the worst food available uptown. I would not recommend to anyone. Reminds me of a cafeteria. The place must be subsidized by someone, because I cannot believe it is still open.
Love their daily special- and salmon is so far the best dish here
Working in the buildings around this establishment has allowed me to try the various daily foods they offer and I can honestly say, I haven't had a bad meal. Very fairly priced for the location in Charlotte.
