Gov's Burger Tap - Chapel Hill

Food is good but don't trust the prices you may find online. Also, the person behind the bar had personal food and drink that they were actively eating. That is a health code violation. Never saw her wash her hands after eating then serving people sitting there.

Great burgers, salads and fries. Been here three times and love it. They have a small bar with a few beers on tap and have great service. It's a hidden gem.

Absolutely fantastic! Everything was delightful and fresh, with generous portions and excellent service at great prices! I can’t believe someone recently said it was expensive here—have they been to McDonald's or Harris Teeter lately? Plus, nine times out of ten, our burgers are overcooked at other places, but not here! They’re perfect every time! Thank you so much, Gov's team!!

The food is excellent, and they offer a fun selection of local beers that isn't overwhelming, unlike some other places. The service is friendly and prompt. On the first Sunday of each month, they host a classic car meetup, which is great to check out!

Despite the chilly 43-degree weather, we requested an outdoor table. They warmly welcomed us and quickly turned on the heaters for our comfort. The bacon cheddar burger was simply delicious! It was perfectly cooked, and the bacon was extra crispy. I was also pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of fries; even without any dipping sauce, they were fantastic. I’m not sure what they put in their house aioli, but it was incredible! I could eat that on anything! Additionally, the service was exceptional. The owner, Carmine, came out to check on us multiple times and was incredibly friendly. I'm regretting waiting so long to try this remarkable place. We can't wait to go back!
