I want to thank kevin..our afternoon tea was lovley your very kind and accommodating thank you once again on behalf of myself and our family
A good place for meeting and chatting to friends old new after the service as it's within the crematorium grounds, saving people travelling any distance to eat elsewhere. Basic food choice, but more than enough at a reasonable price. Pleasant staff recommended.
Staff at the Clock House Tea Rooms were rude, insensitive and should not have been in the role they upset my 87 year old father-in-law yesterday as we retired to the rooms after my mother-in-law's service/ cremation. Upon arrival, we ordered drinks for our party, and requested some fresh milk in a jug only to be told by the man serving (Kevin that we could only have plastic cartons of UHT milk. We thought he was joking but he wasn't and only after protesting, he very grudgingly put a very small amount of fresh milk in a small jug to share between us; who, these days, gives customers UHT milk? My father-in-law then set up a tab for drinks with the man serving behind the counter making a note, only to be deliberately ignored by the man for over 5 minutes when we wanted to settle up, as he chatted to a staff member. Also, despite no notice on the tea room door, we were told another party had booked to arrive in 10 minutes this was just after ordering food for two diabetic friends who had to eat sone thing before leaving. Had we been aware upon arrival, we would he ordered food straightaway. Dreadful staff and service in a place where compassion and sensitivity is needed they need sacking.
Went here yesterday to find it is CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT. Their website needs updating.
