The only item good about this place was the atmosphere. Imagine ordering your appetizer and it showing up more than 40 minutes later. The waitress came back 30 minutes later and apologized about the delay and we ordered our meal at that time. We asked the recommendations and ordered both meals what the waitress recommended. Came to have a drink at the bar and order a pizza to go, was asked if I was staying at the hotel which I am not I was visiting. Was refused my to go order because I'm not staying at the hotel half of the entire bar was empty but asking to sit down was a different story because none of the patrons would allow me to sit
I will forever remember the Taleggio. That pizza will probably go down as one of the top 5 best things I have ever tasted in my life. I will cry knowing that it will be a long time until I can come back and get it again. The Salted Carmel Panna Cotta will rewire your brain and reset your standards of what really delicious actually is. During our week in Charleston we had dinner at a few places. This place and chef by far out paced anything the city had to offer.
I LOVED Frannie and the Fox! The vibe is incredible and convivial. We started with the blue crab fritters and carnalized cauliflower — both amazing! We had two pizzas — the burnt honey and the Italian ham. They were both great, but the burnt honey was our favorite. We finished the meal with a chocolate bundino cake with pistachios and olive oil gelato. One of the best desserts I've ever had!
