They suggested trying the Reuben, which was a unique twist on the classic—using kielbasa instead of corned beef, Polish style—but it was still very tasty. However, the highlight for me was the Golabki. It’s a family recipe, and you can really tell that they put their heart into it. It was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be visiting this food truck often!
Absolutely fantastic food from some amazing people! The team running the place was really friendly and went out of their way to help me out. One of them suggested the Reuben, which was a unique twist on the classic (using kielbasa instead of corned beef, Polish style) but it was still incredibly tasty. However, the highlight for me was definitely the Golabki. It’s a family recipe, and you can tell that they put their heart into it. It was so delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back to this food truck, and next time, I’m going to make sure to get some extra of that incredible tomato sauce for the Golabki!
Additionally, I sampled the cucumber salad, which was light and refreshing, made with cucumbers marinated in a yogurt sauce rather than the usual greens or lettuce. Both the pierogis and salad were perfect for balancing out the drinks from the Beer Fest. My only criticism is that they call out names when the food is ready, and I would have preferred a beeper system, especially at a festival, to avoid having to stand right next to the truck. I also learned that Krystyna's is opening a deli soon, which I’m excited about, especially since West Ashley doesn’t always attract new businesses—many opt for Nexton or North Mount Pleasant instead. I look forward to trying the deli in the future and would definitely recommend visiting the food truck again!
Authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced! I tried the potato-cheese pierogi and gołąbki (ground meat and rice wrapped and baked in cabbage) so far and would like to try more.
The pierogis are phenomenal. I especially like the cheddar ones. They're just as good as the pierogis I ate when I visited Krakow.
