Some of the best American Sushi in Charleston. The price seems about right, and I've yet to be disappointed by anything I've ordered. My biggest complaint here is live music, it's a little too small and leads to an unpleasant dining experience.

We had lunch at Locals on a Friday and it was awesome! I've driven past their different locations a few times, and finally had a chance to stop for lunch. The vibe is casual but fun, totally fine for sandals and jeans, or date night. We sat at the bar, but there were families and a bachelorette party at the tables! My favorite roll was the Big Kahuna, but really everything was fantastic. The shrimp and calamari appetizer was delicious too, I'm not a huge sauce person, but I could have put that stuff on everything!! Highly recommend for a quick and delicious sushi lunch. Great sandwich options for non sushi lovers too.(And yall, look how cuuuute the Wasabi and ginger presentation is!!

My husband and I went here a few nights ago and enjoyed it! The Japanese mozzarella sticks were a tasty surprise to start the meal. I got two sushi rolls (1/2 night on Thursdays! California and Spicy Dragon. Loved both of them! Hubby got the hibachi steak, and it was tasty, too. Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive. You could tell the employees not only liked their jobs, but genuinely cared that the customers were taken care of too. Next time we're in the area, I'll definitely make another stop at Locals!Dietary restrictions: I'm highly allergic to onions, and our waitress made sure to check that nothing we ordered had onions.

The food was just average or even below that. If you're in the mood for sushi, I wouldn't recommend this place. The fish didn't look appealing at all and certainly didn't taste fresh. On a Saturday afternoon, there was only one server on duty. While she did her best, the kitchen service was quite slow. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet I noticed more staff roaming around than actually assisting.
