Oak Steakhouse - Charleston

It's our first time in Charleston, so we asked our Uber driver what restaurants he recommended. That was his number one recommendation, so we had to try. This restaurant has not disappointed; the food was delicious. My husband and I both ordered the fillet, his with blue cheese and mine with truffle butter. The steaks just melt in our mouth. We also shared a Cesar salad, potatoes and bacon Mac and cheese. That was delicious too! We finished with Sorbet and Crème brûlée. Everything was phenomenal.

Recommend Tomahawk Steak. Excellent! Friendly and attentive service. Toffee desserts a must. Be sure if you want to specify reservations, NOT at one of the 2 tables in the 3rd. Floor service area outside the actual dining room. It's shocking that Oak would throw the guests a table. Book the right table and I recommend Oak for the steaks.

Pleasant experience, super friendly staff, and tasty food. Steak was a little dry but all the sides and the steak frites were great. Overall a 4/5.

My steak was WAY over cooked even for medium well. It was CHARRED to the GODS I felt like I was chewing coal, so I sent it back. The sides are not family size as they said. Even the other people who were with me didn 't enjoy their food which were different items than mine. The waiter was GREAT atmosphere GREAT food not so much. It was my birthday and I wish I just went somewhere else.
