Red Orchids China Bistro - Charleston

Didn't think a strip mall restaurant would live up to all the hype on Yelp — boy was I wrong! Not only the menu items, we ordered like 7 appetizers, but then 3 of the desserts and they were all made in house (including the ice cream.. I got fudge ripple! *WoW* Wished I had remembered to take photos! Only wished the menu would have had pictures of the items listed! Didn't order any liquor drinks as they seemed pretty pricey though…

Rich our handsome server was amazing! Gave us 5 star service. Was so helpful answering all of our questions as it was out first time visiting and with the amazing service, ambience and delicious food we shall definitely return soon.

The dining area is open, which can be appealing or not. I personally don't like making awkward eye contact with other diners, especially since I eat with gusto, not grace. But if that doesn't bother you, then there's literally nothing wrong with this restaurant. It's beautiful, the service is good and the food is excellent. If you like spice, I highly recommend you try the mapo tofu! You won't regret it!

Red Orchids is our favorite. We have been going since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Tony, Kelly and all the staff are wonderful. The food is always well prepared, fresh, and delicious. Service is great. Red Orchids is our go to place!

Love this little gem in West ashley! The best Chinese food and the best service! And bonus ice cream by Cirsea! A must try!
