Stones Throw Tavern - Charleston

Food was good, service was good. I had the peach tavern mule. It was really good. We really enjoyed it.

Maybe I just got unlucky when I came here but my girlfriend and I both got burgers and they were both burnt. I don't mean charred, I mean they tasted like charcoal. We also shared the cheese sticks which were fine but they came with “marinara” that tasted like V8 someone added some oregano to. The service was great and the inside was nice at least, the food was just disappointing.

The place could be great, unfortunately, it isn't. It's overlit, overpriced and if that is not enough, do not ask the bartender for a 5/6$ tequila. You get ready for your tab and it's 12$ a shot. New bartender as I was told upon arriving. The girl behind the bar didn't seem impressed either. When I brought this to the lead bartender's attention, she simply did nothing to rectify it. First of all, yes, fully aware it’s football season, but when you walk into a restaurant to eat food and the kitchen isn’t taking orders, I think thats a problem. Secondly, there was no warning of that after sitting down for 30 minutes. Our waitress advised us that she couldn’t put in orders and it would be an hour and a half. Cook was struggling with order — 2 hamburgers and one fist and chips Order took almost an hour — hamburgers were served cold Fish was good Service not good Was told manager was there refused one hamburger because of being cold — child was willing to eat it cold due to hunger — manager never came to speak with us — took off price for one burger
