Tidewater Grill - Charleston

Very nice seafood place almost next to the outback. Limited non-Seafood items, that's just good. Appetizers are delicious and servings are good for seafood standards. Swordfish, scallops, salmon are all delicious, although perhaps only a little overcooked. Drink well done. But... I'm glad I made it dessert; soooo good! The lime cake is the right color and the peanut butter bar is great. Enjoy!

This was a big old chic restaurant with waiters in black trousers and white shirts with ties. Our waiter Jordan was just great and friendly and prompt. We had a big cozy stand so we could pick up like the 3 old ladies. The menu was quite extensive with seafood of all varieties. I had fish tacos that had a spicy salsa and it was served with a choice of the sites that was unusual for tacos, but I had steamed broccoli and Cole Slav. My sister had Chilean lake bass and rice and spinach that she seemed to enjoy. Our guest had Alfredo fetters and she ate almost every bite. They made ice cream with caramel. Why 3 stars? It was solid in every respect, but not excellent for 5 stars and not 4 stars because it was normal. Usually in a good reliable way that you know what you will, and you can take any kind of person there. So please don't think that 3 stars are a bad rating.

Fresh, fresh! I ordered the black Chilean lake bass, which was fresh, but the cook didn't quite manage the thickness perfectly. Nevertheless, it was still delicious. The garlic potatoes were excellent! Our server, Brandon, provided top-notch service. I will definitely be back!

The staff was good, but it took awhile to fill up drinks, but the food was simple?t impressive on all Caesar salad had a dirt taste and I was?t a fan of dressing, the roles was like when you frozen rolling pastry and let it rise to long so, it was crispy on the outside and little to no bread on the inside, the fish pastry was definitely going back

I visited Tidewater for a Saturday lunch and was very pleased with both the food and the service. We ordered the grilled salmon and fish tacos, and I have to say, the salmon was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful smoky flavor. The fish tacos were also well-prepared and nicely seasoned. We enjoyed fresh oysters, and the shrimp appetizer was delicious too. The staff was attentive and friendly, striking the perfect balance; their presence was appreciated without being overwhelming. Although I don’t often go to Charleston, I had a great experience at Tidewater.
