Hitching Post - Charlestown

It wasn't very good. Chowder was Bland and shellcakes were heavy with oil. We went on a Monday and thought the Chowder had to have been the weekend remnants... The potatoes were muddy and the red broth had burned orange from age. My husband has a full abdominal muscle and it was vaccinated. The best part of the experience was the ala carte rider. $40 spent for a less than unforgettable lunch.

We went for lunch, it's Monahans Clams now. I have a whole belly mussel dinner for $21.99. This is a good price, there were many mussels,taste very good Cole Slav was very good, would have a little more bully and the French frys are perfect. Back to Chowder Clam cake. Next time I take photos.

We thought we'd stop at our favorite place. We've been there since I was a kid. We ordered and ate. We noticed that the Fritten were not the same. They were dense and dark. At the time we thought the cook could be new! When we were gone, we noticed a sign that Monahans read Clam Shack. We are disappointed and sad. We don't think we'll be back. The Hitching Post had the best Chowder and Fritte from Ct to R.I. The hit is now Monahan 's

While belly class good/portion ect. A bit greasy tho. Need to WORK ON THAT PART. Ordered 3 fritters. They were tasty. Girls working window very sweet/polite. Very clean grounds. Price is ok considering inflation.
