Legal Oysteria - Charlestown

I've lived in the area for 6 months and decided to try this hidden gem. I'll definitely be back for the scrod. I'd love to try the same recipe with another fish, like haddock. The maple bacon brussel sprouts on the side were unique and crispy. I felt the portion was great and generous. We had an appetizer of the roasted meatball. I felt the meatball itself was great but the sauce lacked flavor. The servers went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal and that our water was never empty. I feel that it would be more popular if it had something to light the outside at night so that it isn't so easy to overlook. During the day I honestly thought it was closed. I'll be back and will tell my friends!

The service at this restaurant is subpar. The waiter needs further training as they have difficulty communicating properly with customers, neglecting to write down orders and repeating them multiple times.

Have eaten here a few times and can always count on a consitently good meal and fresh seafood.

The food was alright. I ordered the special, but the filet mignon was very thin and overcooked. Our drinks took 15-20 minutes to arrive, which felt like even longer. Overall, everything was just okay. Everyone in our group kept their jackets on because it was very cold in our corner of the restaurant.

Very nice for Valentine’s Day. Great place for kids if you have to bring them.
