Anzi Pizzeria Pasta - Charlotte

We had the chicken pizza. the cook apologised for our waiting, but it was because he made our teig fresh, just then! this is the highest quality, best tasting, authentic NY pizza I had outside ny. the owner was there and spoke to us; everyone very friendly. I can't give anzi enough stars. all fresh, every day, lovingly made by hand. that was b4 covid, so I am now sure that these precautions will be taken.

Awesome pizza. New York style in south Charlotte. We were disappointed to hear they closed their location in Stonecrest and were delighted to learn of their new location that’s even closer to us. Highly recommended and one of our top 3 family dinner locations for pizza.

Probably of my favorite pizza places. Original and fresh. It is well made. The pizzas are very oily (I love this). Made in a pizza oven fresh. Has good pastas.

The cheese on the pizza was minimal at best. The sauce tasted like tomato paste and had no real flavor to it.

Grabbed lunch here today and ordered the meatball sub, add mushrooms and olives, with fries. The fries were crispy and awesome, love battered fries. The bread was fresh and toasty, and the portion size was pretty big for the price. Lots of mushroom and olives, love it. But the meatballs... they were terrible. Tasted like they were heated up by boiling them in water and they looked very pail in color. Like little water sponge balls, just completely flavorless and soggy. SORRY ANZI!! Maybe roast the meatballs in the oven instead??
