Dilworth Tasting Room - Charlotte

A big shoutout to Frank, the bartender! We dropped in for cocktails on a Saturday afternoon and it was a great experience. We only ordered two drinks, but both were fantastic. The one I had was probably the best cocktail I’ve ever tasted. We didn’t try any food this time, but we're definitely planning to return for dinner and more drinks. The staff was laid-back and friendly, and it was clear that they enjoyed their work. We absolutely loved this place!

**The Good:** Although our table wasn't quite ready at the reserved time, the staff made us comfortable on one of the couches while we waited, and we didn't wait long before being seated. The ambiance is beautiful, the patio looks fantastic, and the white wine my friend selected was delicious (unfortunately, I can't recall its name). The food we ordered was truly delicious! We tried the truffle chips, crab cakes, and prosciutto and Brie flatbread—all of which were fantastic. However, with just three of us, we needed a bit more food since the portions weren't very large. I also got a tasty cocktail, just so I could pop the smoke bubble on top because yes, I am indeed that person. **The Meh:** It was quite crowded, making it difficult to hear each other talk, and even harder to hear the hostess and servers. So, bring your hearing aid. Our server was efficient, but he didn’t seem particularly friendly; he looked like he would rather be anywhere else. Despite our efforts to engage him, he wasn’t very responsive. **The Bad:** They weren't very strict about COVID protocols. As I mentioned, the place was packed with no social distancing in sight. Many staff members also weren't wearing their masks properly. If you're cautious about COVID, it’s best to avoid DTR on a particularly busy night. Additionally, the food can be quite pricey. While the quality was good, I was disappointed to find that one cheese and one meat on the charcuterie board costs $25. If you have the money to spend, go for it because the food does seem to be high quality. They’re busy and their food is tasty. It's a lovely place, and everyone knows it, which is why it fills up quickly. I highly recommend making a reservation and checking this place out!

What a lovely spot to gather and catch up with your friends! We had a great time enjoying some drinks and appetizers. While the service was a bit on the slow side, we would definitely return!

This place was absolutely charming, with a lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed sitting in the garden patio. I ordered a cosmopolitan, which came with a delightful presentation that I didn't expect. I also tried the mushroom flatbread, which was a hit as well. The waitstaff and management were very attentive. This spot would be perfect for a date night or just a fun outing with friends. I'm excited for my out-of-town friends to visit because I'm definitely going to bring them here!

I love DTR! Such a great place for a date or girls night! I always bring people here when I have guests in town. We sat outside on the garden patio and I loved the ambience. Drinks were great and the food was outstanding. With four people, five dishes was the perfect amount. I can't wait to return to DTR again soon!
