Evoke - Charlotte

Delicious food at this restaurant located at the Le Meridian Hotel. The quality is excellent for the price point. We had the lamb and the pork chops which were cooked and served to perfection.

My first time at Evoke was during Restaurant Week (7.25.19) with a friend. We had a GREAT experience!! The staff was VERY friendly and welcoming. Our waitress, Cameron, was SUPER laid back and down to earth. She made us laugh and was very engaging throughout the night. The decor and atmosphere is GREAT too. With that said, We ordered the Beef Cornettes, Ginger-Crusted Chicken, and Strawberry Shortcake (my friend ordered the Brownie Stack). I also tried the Cardinal Rose cocktail. It was supposed to have egg yolk as an ingredient which was the reason I ordered it because I LOVE trying new things and that ingredient intrigued me. Sad to say, they ran out of egg yolk so I couldn 't really enjoy it and was very disappointed, I ended up sending it back. The entree had GREAT flavors and I loved the pairing of the bamboo rice w/edamame. However, the chicken was VERY DRY (both of ours). Lastly, my desert was too crunchy for my liking as I anticipated the cake to be moist. I tried my friends desert and it was DEELISH!! I provided ALL my feedback to our waitress and the manager, when asked how our meals were, and they graciously accepted my critique of the food and decided to comp ' our entire bill due to the 'poor ' experience we had regarding our food AND my drink, specifically because it was our first time dining there. The manager took 'Customer Satisfaction ' to a whole other level than we anticipated. That will not detour us from visiting again to try something different on the entree and drink menu. This restaurant is GREAT for casual and intimate dining. After dining there, we went to the roof and had a cocktail at City Lights Rooftop. AMAZING lounge spot...decor, set up, and of course....the VIEW!!

Went there with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. It was a weekday so there weren’t many people in there which made it intimate and relaxing. I ordered prime rib and my boyfriend got he roasted chicken. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and truly the work of a good chef. Would definitely recommend this place for date night or even just to simply get great food.

Shared a wonderful dinner with friends. The food was outstanding! Yes this is a small plate restaurant. Yes the prices are high. But the quality of the food deserves it. We came in well aware of prices and atmosphere and we couldn't have been more happier. Our waiter was sociable, friendly, and very helpful. We would definitely come again.

Ordered the fillet and potatoes and they were amazing. Even more amazing than the food was the waitress Shabria. Even the chef and manager came out to make sure everything was great for us. On top of all that, the supervisor from the rooftop bar City Lights came down to personally escort us to a complimentary section! Unforgettable experience. They made a regular couple feel like we had celebrity status! We'll be back!
