Warmly greeted at the register, we placed our orders and took our table number to a seat outside. Inside looked comfortable but on a warm day, we opted to al fresco. Thankfully, no one started smoking and we didn 't have any loud children during our visit. Our meals only took 13 minutes to arrive. I had the sausage peppers that was very well topped and loaded with both. Not quite easy to eat by picking up slices but I did okay and didn 't wear any of it. My daughter chose the cheese calzone and very much enjoyed her meal. Service was friendly and refilled drinks which was great to see especially since we had already paid the check when we ordered. Great. I would come back to TRUE Crafted Pizza if they remained. I 'll have to get to Osteria Luca soon. [Review 19941 overall 3428 in North Carolina 914 of 2023.
I 've been meaning to try this place for a while, yet reluctant because I hate to get let down. Well, ding ding ding...winner! My order was delivery and I made sure to get a few different items: sausage and broccoli rabe pizza, BLT (grilled) pizza w/ ranch, chicken parm hero. Let 's start with the sandwich. It was pretty decent. The chicken wasn 't rubbery. I get that isn 't the highest bar to set, but given how many times I 've generally encountered this....I was please. It was really your basic chicken parm hero. My favorite part was the bread. So soft and and good. Sausage/broccoli pizza: very good...pleasing. BLT grilled pizza: this was the gem to me. Easily one of my favorite salad pizzas. I 've never had the crust grilled before and this really won me over. This is my go to from now on. Everything traveled really well. All in all I 'm so happy I finally gave this place a try. Being a native NYer, in all honesty, I 'm not always looking for a NY style pizza. Im not in NY and vatiety is the spice of life. I have one or 2 spots that can do a decent job. I just love exploring all the different kinds of pizza and True....it 's true. I 'm a fan of you.
We really enjoyed our dinner here with 2 friends. We ordered a margherita pizza, cheese pizza, chopped chicken cobb salad, and an order of fried mozzarella wedges. Everything was tasty and delicious, presented nicely, came out hot and prices reasonable. The pizzas are 11 inches and are grilled or wood fired. The menu includes a large variety of pizza, several salads, tomato soup, appetizers such as meatballs in pomodoro sauce , sandwiches, vegetarian options, a kids menu to name a few. One orders at the counter, given a number for their table and waits for their order brought to the table. We opted for the outdoor seating. Beer and wine also served here
I'll be back for the pesto pizza. Grilled pizzas are excellent. Standard cheese pizza was perfect for the kids. I ordered via the Yelp app, and it was ready in short order. Only small annoyance is that when I ordered takeout, they didn't have any to-go forks. Difficult to eat a salad on the go without a fork. Not a requirement, but certainly would have been nice. And the Greek salad itself, once I located a fork, was nice. We'll be back again soon the next time we want quick pizza that makes everyone happy!
We really have been fans of True Pizza. Always fresh and always as expected. I do, however, feel the need to share some feedback from one of the truck stops. (The True truck was at a ball field last season). The ladies were lovely and kind; the food was very good... however the guy was a bit cranky and VERY verbal about his not making any money and they ultimately shut down just prior to another round of games that were about to start. I get it but he was NOT kind to the young men who were going up to order. HIs money commentary was for the gals he was working with, but he was NOT quiet about it. In fact, one of the young men offered a larger tip as a result (yikes). My heart broke as they were just arriving and had nothing to do with the prior crowd not purchasing items.... could have been timing since we were there right around dinnertime . Sadly, they shut down before 5:30 p.m. I 'd guess a number of the next round of families would have purchased pizzas. I 'd simply suggest muffling the frustration or taking note and trying later arrival instead. I do believe they were there ALL day long and hate that they didn 't make money but I 'd guess they would have if they hung out for the later games with the older kids.
