Things like golden beets, fresh turmeric, sumo oranges, celery root and red snapper. Yes it is a little pricier than some other chains but for not-so-popular items I am willing to pay a little more. I love that a lot of the food is organically sourced and on the healthier side. I'm trying to incorporate more whole and clean foods in my diet and have been buying organic more frequently. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. I am also a frequent user of Prime Now which has been a lifesaver. I use this option regularly and it saves time and prevents me from having to drive to and walk around multiple stores. The shoppers are very efficient and pick the items as requested.
I love that this Whole Foods store in downtown is conveniently located. Wow, I can stop in to grab a bite to eat and have a variety of options including getting something warm to eat or drink a cold day. Or, if I need a few items before heading home, I can grab them here. They have manned quick-check out registers near the door for quick in and out. I believe they will validate parking for a limited amount of time so take your ticket into the store with you.
It was challenging trying to locate this particular whole foods because it is nestled in uptown and there is a lot of construction going on all around it. I actually came in the store as a vendor to conduct a demo on a product that they sell. I met Lee, the Customer Service Manager upon arrival. He was extremely charismatic and he provided great customer service! This helped to place my mind at ease before starting my demo. Although I've conducted demonstrations at Whole Foods in the area as well as Cary, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, and Greenville South Carolina -I must say that this particular Whole Foods is not as friendly as the other ones that I have frequented. The 2 female cashiers seemed very hostile. They just grimaced over at me from the time I purchased products to begin the demo and throughout the demo. My friend came in to help me with set up and she also complained on how unengaged the cashier was with her at checkout. The guy cashier was rather welcoming. This store has great selections of food everything looks delicious. The bathrooms were super clean but they did not have seat covers so i had to test my squat game! Most of the shoppers were all bubbly. I wouldn't personally shop here however nor come back in to demonstrate.
There was a bug in my salad. Ugh. No other real complaints besides the fact that I almost ate a bug in my salad.
As of lately I've found myself on this Health kick where I'm doing things to be a better me, and with that I've been visiting a lot of food markets that offer organics and a better selection of fresh foods; which brings me to my Whole Foods Market visit... My how it has changed; the Whole Foods Market I remember used to have a better selection of products and better prices, but since they've merged with Amazon prime it seems that things have changed. Their selection of vitamin extracts and liquid vitamins is slim to none so if that's what you're looking for you have to order online or go to another health food store such as Earth fare. Don't get me wrong there are still many great attributes to this store, like the fresh baked mouth watering pastries, fresh butchers meats and fish, the coffee/beer/gelato cafe, the free water fill station and the chair massages. The only real downside was the bathrooms were unkept.
