Mellow Mushroom Charlottesville

I appreciate the unique combinations offered and found the pizza to be a generous portion. It could use a bit more seasoning, but overall, it was satisfying.

Good menu options, but the sauce was bland and unseasoned.

This restaurant is very welcoming for children. The salads and pizzas are excellent.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is cozy and inviting with mellow mushroom decorations. Although the service was a bit slow, the staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. I would give the food a 4-star rating because the pizza I ordered, the Holy Shiitake Pie, had too many conflicting flavors. Removing the aioli sauce and some of the herbs would improve the overall taste. However, the crust was excellent and the pizza was still enjoyable. I found that the pizza tasted better when eaten cold as leftovers. I plan to bring my young children to this restaurant as I believe they would enjoy the hidden mushroom artwork.

This was a perfect stop in Charlottesville. Excellent food.
