Overall, it was a solid experience. The sandwiches were delicious and the service was quick. The pickles were absolutely fantastic! The only thing they could improve on is having outdoor seating.

Wow! The food was fantastic. The service was friendly, attentive, and professional. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful. The salads—chicken, egg, and tuna—were all excellent. The French fries and kettle chips were so good, they could become addictive! This was my first visit, and I can’t wait to go back.

It's opening day for the first Jewish deli in downtown Charlottesville! You place your order at the front counter and can choose any seat you like. The space can accommodate around 50 people when it's full. The sandwiches are quite large—I tried the Rachel, which consists of turkey on marble rye with Russian dressing and Swiss cheese. It was delicious, but I would have appreciated a little more dressing (although I could have asked for extra). My sandwich came with chips and a few slices of cucumber. The menu is extensive, and I'm definitely planning to return to sample more items. Interestingly, they almost ran out of Matzo Ball Soup within the first hour of opening! While the prices are on the higher side, the owner is very friendly and donates the profits to local charities. You can find more information on their website. Even if you're not a big eater, it's easy to share a sandwich between two people. They also have a variety of deli items, including some delicious Halvah!

Modern Nosh knocks it out of the park with stacked sandwiches of large proportion homemade treat. Corned beef made in the house! Fresh potato chips! Friendly efficient counter service. It is quality how to be a real deli (go to a chain if your time wallet is on a budget). Reuben Combo ditto to the other reviews. In addition, ALL end-of-year wins are donated to cause non-profit organizations. Good to know you're here, I'm back.

I've tried all the meats and everything was super tasty. The combo Reuben on rye is my favorite. The service is really friendly every time I've visited but it is a bit pricey so not somewhere I'd be a regular.
