The Fitzroy - Charlottesville

We had an AMAZING time at this restaurant! It was quite busy when we arrived, and it seemed like we might not get a table, but the host—who I think was the owner—seated us very quickly! He was incredibly friendly. Our drinks were well-priced, and the food came out in no time! Our server, who I believe was named Cara, was FANTASTIC! She was hilarious, warm, and went out of her way to suggest some local vineyards for us to check out. She even returned to our table to share one more recommendation that she had forgotten! Overall, I would rate this experience a 15 out of 10! We are so glad we chose to dine here!

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. When I arrived with my two dogs, the staff were incredibly gracious and allowed us to sit anywhere outside. They were attentive not only to me but also to my dogs, which was especially appreciated since the weather was a bit unpredictable and my dogs were acting a little strange. The wonderful team went out of their way to make them comfortable and were so kind to me as well. I’d definitely return just for the mac and cheese!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding drinks. The crispy short rib roll made for a delightful appetizer. The Fitzroy burger, topped with bacon, was cooked to perfection and served in a reasonable portion size. The house old fashioned was great, and I appreciated that they use syrup instead of sugar. The spiced pear mule was exceptional, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Overall, it was a fantastic experience at this restaurant, and I look forward to returning.

Wonderful staff! We had the grilled Romaine Salad with tofu. Delicious. The hand cut fries and wine menu was great too.

The cinnamon sugar and coconut lemon donuts were great, so was the breakfast burrito with green chili pork and the chicken and waffles! It was nice to sit outside on the patio.
