The Whiskey Jar - Charlottesville

I traveled to Charlottesville from Northern Virginia in search of some genuine, mouthwatering Southern-style cooking, and I found exactly what I was hoping for at this restaurant. Wow, my taste buds were in heaven! The pork belly and chicken platter was simply divine. The cornbread was fantastic as well! The ham biscuit was incredibly flavorful, and the hush puppies with sorghum molasses butter were absolutely indulgent. A big thank you to the friendly staff and talented chefs!

The Whiskey Jar is a fantastic spot on the downtown mall. The vibe is great, the bar is spacious, and the selection of whiskeys is impressive. We've enjoyed both lunch and brunch there, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!

The atmosphere was wonderful; it had a charming and unique vibe. The portion sizes were fantastic for the price. Everything my group ordered was delicious, with the French toast and waffles being our favorites. We can't wait to try more items from the menu!

I like the vibe, the whiskey, the beer, and the music. Plus, the Cajun food on their seasonal Mardi Gras menu was legit! Trust me, I’m Cajun and I’m picky about this stuff. Boudin balls, catfish poboy, and dirty rice were as good as anything I had back home in Louisiana.

I enjoyed eating here and the setting. It's a cool little place to decompress after work and grab a bite to eat. The breaded oysters were fantastic and as a meal I had pulled pork sand. I liked the NC style BBQ sauce and the homemade chips were crisp and tasty
