Taco Boyz - Charlottetown

Wow! Now I truly understand the hype surrounding this place. For my birthday dinner, my dad treated me to two tacos and let the staff member choose the toppings based on what’s popular. She definitely knows her stuff because those tacos were incredible! The takeout container was overflowing with ingredients, enough for me to make at least one more taco, especially since they threw in some extra tortillas. If I hadn’t already eaten lunch today, I could have easily had two meals from that portion because they were so filling! Taco Boyz is going to be my new go-to spot whenever I’m in Charlottetown!

To be honest, the way they make their burritos lacks the authentic spice and flavor one might expect. The only thing that gives the burrito its true character is the salsa. I had high hopes, especially since we have Burrito Boyz in Ontario, who really embrace their uniqueness and offer amazing, authentic Mexican flavors—something Taco Boys is sorely missing. That said, the staff is wonderful, the setup is nice, and the food is good with generous portion sizes! You definitely can't go wrong trying the chimichanga (they even have a vegetarian option)!

There was a long line tonight, and only two staff members were working. Unfortunately, there were no brown rice options available, but I really enjoyed my delicious taco bowl, which I had with lettuce. The burritos are massive and generously filled, and the tacos are also quite good, featuring both crispy and soft varieties.

I am giving two stars because the server in the middle (she handled the veggies and stuff to be added in the Taco was nice enough. Overall, the other employees and the taste make this an underwhelming experience. 1. They wrapped hard Taco within a layer of soft Taco. Real Authentic Taco should either be pure hard Taco OR pure soft Taco.Hard Taco and soft Taco should not be mixed together. 2. The guy at the cash register gave me a very discomforting look when I said Iam paying for my boyfriend and my own Taco. 3. The guy at the cash register used his bare hands to touch the Burrito. He should be putting gloves on !!!!! Please train your staff to be polite to customers and follow food safetyguidelines and protocols.

Me, my sister and cousin showed up at about 10 after 11 really really wanting tacos but didn't realize they were closed. The two lovely ladies working saw us outside pleading for tacos and they told us they had limited toppings and depending on what we wanted we could come in, we said literally anything they could make so they let us in!!! Literally the nicest people ever, everyone please go here and tip them well! They didn't have to do that at all and made ournight!! :
