Creperie de la Poele Percee - Chartres

Had lunch there today with my family. Delicious and authentic breton 'sarrasin ' crepes and an extensive variety of fresh toppings. I had the Pontivy, sliced of chicken breast, mushrooms and curried creme-fraiche was savoury and original and beautifully presented in a clean and nicely decorated dining room. Friendly service. Simple, unpretentious, family friendly and just delicious. Even my 9 year old had no problems gobbling up her crepes!

During my stay in Chartres I had lunch here one day and a quick dinner before the theatre the next. They had a good selection of galettes and crepes but I stuck to the menus which were pretty good value. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to someone eating on their own. Perhaps not the place for a long lingering meal but it does what it says it does very well.

Stopped at this small unprepossessing creperie for an early dinner. We arrived just after 1900hrs, 15 minutes after they opened, to take the last but one table. The rest being booked. We had the 12.50€ formula which was a galette (we both had chèvre chau and salad), followed by a crepe (1 chocolate banana and 1 caramel) together with a pitcher of cider. The food was delicious, the service speedy, efficient and unobtrusive. A great little find.
