Café Restaurant Buffet de la Gare

For over 25 years I have been visiting this place! it has not changed anything and is still as inviting as ever! eating is fantastic as the local beer and a great service! can highly recommend the croute au fromage, rosti and...Cold beef and chips! enjoys!

Sadly I can 't review the quality of the food as I couldn 't get any ordered. A fairly busy lunch time resulted in me sitting unattended for about 10 minutes during which time two local people sat at my table. The young male waiter came over,...took their order, realised I wasn 't with them and went away. He reappeared around the tables a couple of times but still didn 't come to take my order. I decided to take my business elsewhere. As I was leaving the waiter reappeared to give the local people who had sat at my table their starters. I told him I was leaving as he hadn 't served me. He replied Ok, goodbye . Not a hint of an apology. Shame. Lovely looking place. Perhaps this negative review Will make the staff here think twice about how to handle a complaint.

Each time it is always a good address first of all their fondue served in a dug bread, a real discovery (sweet treat as it should be!) a very varied brewery style of delicious salads. in the summer on the terrace from where you see the world in winter well warm in a friendly atmosphere with the accustomed .pas guindé , in the heart of the village .servers are dynamic and efficient .

We worried when we saw the bad mountain paintings and boar's head on the walls, but the food delighted us all. Local steak cooked on a blazing hot stone, perfectly prepared lamb chops and fine perch were accompanied by excellent fries or swiss roesti and salad. Delicious desserts were copious and creamy. Our waiter suggested a nice rose to accompany the meal , and service was generally excellent. The restaurant is very accessible for the disabled and an external ramp made a wheelchair easy to push even in the snow.

I have no words to describe what I ate today with a delicacy and pleasures for the palace as for the eyes!!!
