des Alpes - Chateau-D'Oex

Came here last year and could not wait to go back. it was so wonderful! I think it's a new possession for the last 1.5 years. genuine excellent fresh Italian food, excellent service. somehow our server has italian, french. English language mixed and we could fully understand it! very charismatic. I can't expect to go back and try another dish. great with friends or even for a romantic evening.

We ate a variety of pasta including super tasty Papardelle with truffle and also tagliatelle with shrimps and a variety of clams... Sort of a superb frutti del mare. The entrees were simple and tasty and the ambient relaxed and friendly. I like when I...can speak Italian with an Italian waiter in an Italian restaurant. I will return on my next visit to Saanenland

I went there twice. The staff are friendly. It gives you an impression that you are in a restaurant which is rather rare in this village so these were the 2 good points. I took 3 course meal, overall everything was average. Seafood was over...cooked, pasta was soggy, their steak was covered in not so tasty sauce...Their panna cotta had a hard skin at the bottom.

I got there with my husband and son. It was a terrible experience. 1. They accept babies but they have no high chairs to let them sit. 2. Service was terrible, long wait, waiters stressed and not kind... but the worst is the food...3.incredibly small...portions and very expensive! I ordered a plate of ham and buffala mozzarella' for 22 chf and I literally had 2 slice of ham and a micro mozzarella. My hubby ordered risotto, that was micro small and rice was still crunchy uncoocked. And then we got invited to leave the table because they wanted to give it to someone else!! Terrible experience! Never again

My man and I went here and both enjoyed our eating! lasagne house cooked, hearty, great part, has the feeling of mama 's Italian comfort eat! special pasta of the daily version of bark ravioli 'bonen', extrany tasty! something that she expects in. a meilin recommended place safe! desserts. ok, we are excited. we ate a tiramisu and a molleaux au chocolat then order a second tiramisu and a muille fuille! the ice was homemade and beautiful. the muille fuille was definitiw homemade and perfected. highly recommended for everyone in the mood for Italian eating!
