The 40 minute drive was totally worth it. We each had the quiche of the day spinach and cheddar. It was fabulously creamy and flavorful. I didn't think I'd have enough rom to finish it, but it was so good I couldn't stop myself. The crust was light and buttery, and the simple side salad was a perfect complement to the quiche. We also enjoyed big mugs of rich coffee. The only negative (and it was slight) was that the squares of crumb cake I took to go were somewhat dry, as if they were day old. A quick zap in the microwave at home softened them up a little, but they certainly weren't like fresh baked. Next time I would skip the pasties.

I love this place! The food is outstanding fresh and absolutely delicious. The baked goods are scrumptious and everything I've ever had there has been fresh and yummy. Nice vibe as well.
It's a bit cramped and a bit pricey but charming and the food is well prepared Amazingly, the owners also supplied the cafe we frequented in Brooklyn before we become county gentry. As people spill up the Hudson Valley, places like this are proliferating to...
Their tomato soup is over the top delicious. Wish the place were a little bigger so I could always be guaranteed a seat.
