Blue Plate - Chatham

I'm thrilled to see my hometown restaurant open once again! If you're in the mood for comfort food, definitely try the meatloaf, and make sure to save room for the hot sundae at the end—it's a must! If you're planning to come with a larger group, be aware that they don’t take reservations, and the tables are a bit on the small side. It can feel a bit cramped when they’re busy. My kids love drawing on the paper tablecloths, and we enjoy it too; it keeps us entertained while we wait. Don't forget to check out the lovely basement bar as well. Cheers!

The food was excellent. For the first time, my burger was cooked just the way I wanted it. I usually ask for medium rare, but it often arrives more on the medium to well-done side. However, the Blue Plate got it right! The atmosphere is delightful, and the wait staff is fantastic. I was also impressed that the head chef came to our table to check on how everything was, which added a nice personal touch. I will definitely be returning.

We can't say enough wonderful things about the Blue Plate! The cozy, country atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The comfort food is absolutely delicious, and the friendly staff makes us feel like we're part of the community. And let me tell you, their hot fudge sundae is the best we've ever had! We highly recommend this place, but please don’t take our table.

Unflavored food. The sweet potato and chickpea had no flavor at all. The beet salad the beets were hard and just arugula thrown in there with no dressing. The smashed potato had no salt.

Wonderful dining experience. Top notch quality in a quaint homey setting. Outstanding delicious food and friendly helpful service.
