Between us, our group ordered every fish dish offered and we loved all of them. The fried versions were perfectly done, with no greasiness at all. How'd they do that? And you must to try their home made potato chips. Crispy without being burned. You also have to order something that includes the jumbo fried shrimp, done perfectly. It's not on the menu but they offer a side of the shrimp that's an absolute bargain for the 10 large shrimp you get. Someone has put together a fun menu, and someone in the kitchen really knows what they're doing. We're headed back.
Best fish fry and homemade cheesecake in Alger and Marquette Counties! Well worth the drive to Chatham. Outstanding service, too. Under new ownership since 2022.
Incredibly friendly staff, well made drinks, and they still have cheap beer prices. The sandwich today was their Bourbon BBQ HamBurger. Actually had some deli style shaved ham on top of the beef burger with cheese and a Bourbon BBQ sauce. If I wasn't in the company of the general public, I would have licked my plate. It was great and I highly recommend it! Returned 10/21/23 Staff is still on point and food is great!
Great neighborhood bar with awesome service. The food was delicious! Well definitely go back again next time we are in the area. Did I say they hit it out of the park with thirsty Thursday? Bottled beer $1.50 each. Score!!!
The best customer service in the north, the hands down? Alicia is our hero! My wife and I made a trip that landed our transporter in a trench in Rock Canyon Falls. No cell service. 5 miles before me I found a local who came to our help and highly recommended the Chatham Pub, as he was unable to get us at 10 a.m. in the night. Alicia, the bartender, called her friend Charlie, at UP Wilderness Towing and Recovery, who pulled us out. When we waited for the wrecker, we had a delicious bowl of tomato soup and the spicy cheese curds while listening to live music. I left my wife with Alicia who her company (even if she had been after closing) and treated her like a local. My wife couldn't stop talking how gracious Alicia was and wished we had lived closer. The next time we pass thru, we will definitely stop in The Chatham Pub again.
