Kelsey's Neighborhood Bar & Grill

I was at this location over 2 years ago and the food and service was less than impressive. Fast forward 2 years... I think it has gotten worse. 5 separate orders every single one was either burnt or cold. As the old saying goes ... fool me once shame on you... fool me twice shame on me. There won't be a 3rd time.

Visited for dinner while visiting Chatham due to location near hotel. In general the dinner was good ,excellent service. Huge downside was the fries that came with meal, easily the worst fries I have ever had. Noticed another patron return them twice and finally just ask waitress to bring sandwich only. Not sure what made them so bad but needs to be corrected.

We visited Kelsey's with our kids so we needed something easy and quick. The service was fine and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food tasted as expected. Nothing exciting. The fries do need an upgrade. I did like the fact that as a gluten and lactose free person that I could easily find something to eat at Kelsey's.

Friday May 5th our party of 4 kids and 3 adults went in for dinner around 6.30. The place was busy but had empty tables and a number of tables with patrons finishing up their meal. We were told it would be at least an hour's wait, and that 2 parties were coming in later. My daughter, who has been in service work, asked if we could have 2 of the tables available in different sections. The reply was that that would mean 2 servers and 2 bills - not a problem she replied. The hostess then called the manager over, she became quite hostile and said the kids could not sit on their own without an adult. These kids are 11 & 12 years old and know how to behave in public. We were in town for 3 days at a dance competition, 30 dancers plus parents who, after we told them what had happened. dined elsewhere.

This is the 3rd time I've been since they revamped the place. The first time was great but last 2 times have just been bad. Last night we ordered a few appetizers and a couple drinks. (I asked the waitress how much a bottle of beer was) she told me she had to check, so I looked in the drink menu and they were $4.99. Something like that should be known I would think.Our waitress didn't even bring out our food because she was walking around cluelessly trying to look busy, so right away I knew it had been sitting for a while. Then she finally comes over when we are done to ask how it was. The poutine we had ordered was just soggy like it had been sitting for a good 10-15. She did take it off our bill but she tried to convince me that poutines are supposed to be soggy. This will be the last time we go there.
