(Large size for $10 The meals also come with this chicken stock(i think? soup which goes quite nice with the meal. Overall decent quality food that is on the cheaper side. <br/ <br/ Just be careful carrying your tray of food if you have the cup of soup because i manage to spill it more than half the times
We came here specifically for the special $20 giant curry, and I must say, this dish managed to fed the four of us given its impressive size. I reckon for two people who eat a lot, this dish is a good size, but it's probably best suited for three people. <br/ <br/ The curry was pretty good, packed with veggies and the katsu was decent. Nothing fancy but if you're hungry, you can't get a bigger curry than this. There's just enough curry to rice ratio, so you need to be careful with portioning, and I would've liked a few more pieces of katsu or egg. <br/ <br/ Otherwise, it's just a place in the food court that does Japanese dishes. Service is alright, don't expect anything fancy. But $20 between four people is more than worth it in my opinion.
Me and two of my siblings came here two weeks ago, just to try out their king (or mega sized chicken sized katsu curry look at the photo, it 's worth a thousand words.<br/ <br/ Needless to say, it was worth the 20 <br/ <br/ Although a few pointers :<br/ A There was a ton of rice, and just enough curry to mix it all in (wish there was slightly more though . If you like your curry to have a ton of curry over rice, then you may *Struggle* <br/ B the size of the katsu (you get two pieces I think, is kinda random so don 't believe the example size at the front of the shop, but I wish we had a bigger serve needless to say <br/ C I know that some people complain about the overall quality and presentation, but you need to see their pricing and operating model as just a 'maccas ' serving Japanese food... (it 's at a food court Don 't expect 'students ' to serve gourmet Japanese cuisine at food court, just like how you don 't expect 'students ' serving gourmet big Macs without paying the extra .<br/ D you need three people to eat this, two 'will ' struggle . Actually you can use it to fill 4 lunchboxes for future meals.... .<br/ <br/ Definitely a good cheap venue with big sizes, would definitely come back, even just for the 20 king size curry feeds three people for 20? Definitely a tick in my book
Located in the Mandarin Centre, Fujiyama Noodle Bar offers noodles and rice and seems to specialise in curries. We ordered curries and were satisfied with their quality, the quantity of curry and their cost. However, we found that the curries were only tepid and not steaming hot. The service is reasonably good; but, sometimes, the staff cannot understand English as well as we would like them to.<br/ <br/ In light of the above, we would like to return to Fujiyama Noodle Bar if we had to eat at the Mandarin Centre. As there are so many other options in Chatswood, there is no compelling enough reason for us to choose it every time, though.
This place serves the best ramen and chicken katsu in Chatswood!
