I used to frequently visit for their Sashimi Deluxe platter, but after they increased the price and removed the oysters from the dish, I never ordered it again. For almost $50, it seems they could still include an oyster. It has been six months since my last visit.
This restaurant is the go-to spot for bento boxes! They offer a wide variety of bento options including fish, pork, beef, and combinations of both. They also have a daily special bento that comes with miso soup, salad, and side dishes. In addition to bentos, they also serve other rice dishes and udon noodles. They have a takeaway counter where you can purchase sashimi, sushi, and other fish and meat dishes. In my opinion, the bento box is the best option as it provides a delicious and complete meal for an average of $20 to $25.
The restaurant offers nicely presented combinations of sashimi sushi and other dishes. There is not much tempura on the menu, only as part of one specific dish. I tried to order a tempura side but the chef said no, so they are not very flexible. They offer a large beer for $10. The outside tables are noisy and located right next to a train. The typical combo sets range from $23-$28. The dishes may look like a lot, but there is a significant amount of garnish and filler like ice. Expect to pay around $100 for a meal for three. The value is fair, but not exceptional.
Not good as before by reducing the size of the eel and replacing the battered prawns with beef with a price increase to boot
I had their MKB special bento for sit down dinner $24.80. I like all the components (salmon sashimi, miso soup, rice, thick wagyu beef slices, half soft shell crab, stewed burdock, slice of katsu not sure if chicken or pork) but the non meat nikujaga let the team down. Might try one of their hotpots next time seems like good value at $38. Customer service was fine for me. If there’s a line, you take a number from the sheet write your number of guests if you wanna sit inside or outside if you are okay with sharing I think... next to your number. Seems to be okay to just walk in if there is no line, but maybe take a number just in case.
