Very disappointing - they were already packing up and making us feel uncomfortable being there an hour before they were meant to shut.
This place is annoyingly goodThere are long wait times for a reason, and damn it if I wouldn't wait again for the food here.
Touche is located at the Zenith Towers and is one of three cafes that service the two office towers here. But Touche is by far the most popular and it's no surprise that the stream of customers is very consistent no matter what time you go as they get the fundamentals right. The owners have changed recently but there are no signs of the business slowing and the food quality has still remained consistent as the chef has been kept on. The hot food for lunch has a good variety of roasts, pasta and fish. The lasagne is a winner and the made to order kebab is also good. The Turkish Pide is their speciality and very popular with a variety of fillings and well priced at $7.50. The trademark soft and elastic dough the Turkish make is a sure crowd pleaser but a hazard for afternoon productivity for work or the waistline if lunching on these become a habit! The sandwich bar offers all the essentials and there is a good selection of fresh salads. The Grilled Chicken and Green Mango salad, The Mediterranean and cold Beef Noodle Salad are interesting options thats sure to please. The health conscious also have their choice of yoghurts and protein balls to choose from. Touche could easily do well in the city as it has a rare quality where if they make something, it's made well and not just offered to increase variety without any quality control. The service is friendly and efficient which is all you want for a cafe servicing an office crowd.
