The sandwich was terrible. Like mashed up left iver tuna, but it waa supposed to be high end pork. The ceviche tacos were worse. Had an after taste that stuck to your mouth in a bad way. Left 90% of it on the plate. Repeatedly aaked for the bill so we could just leave this mess. Ignored, ignored again. Had to get up to walk out to get them inrerested in pickpocketing us because that is how it felt the food was that bad. Then they asked if we liked it. I just lookes at them and walked out. Does my plate look like I liked it? My partner said no it was terrible. Waiter got stroppy like if he refuses our answer hard enough he might suddendly be right. My guess is they pay writers to give them props. All I tasted was false ego.
I suffered a terrible POISONING in this restaurant, I had ceviche for lunch and a marine soup. I called today in the morning to show my displeasure and the cheff treated me as a liar, I have been interested in demanding my refund with racial and classist comments for being South American. I had the WORST EXPERIENCE DO NOT EAT in this restaurantKid-friendliness: NoWheelchair accessibility: No
La Cevicheria is a great local GEM?! We were greeted as soon as we entered and our order was taken the moment we decided. We had the fish shrimp tacos and we started with the special of the day that consisted of a smoked marlin tostada which was super tasty; the tacos were delicious as well. For dessert, we had the tres leches cake which we had a hard time keeping around long enough to take a picture ?.Highly recommend La Cevicheria!
Indulge in a gastro-gasmic adventure at this hidden gem, where patience pays off. While you may have to wait long for a table at this cozy establishment (or better yet, visit during non-lunch hours on weekdays), you'll be rewarded with an exquisite selection of the most authentic Guatemalan ceviches in LA. Their menu also boasts an array of tantalizing Latin American seafood dishes, such as aguachiles, mejillones al mono de ajo, pescado Veracruzano, and shrimp curry. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you; this hole-in-the-wall spot is an absolute must-visit for any food lover! And of course those Chapines craving the ceviche de concha negra from home
Both my friend and i became ill from eating here. tried to contact them 3 times before writing this review. left voicemails to help alleviate others from experiencing the same thing. they were also super busy and understaffed.
