Scottie's On The River - Chattanooga

Located directly on the river, this restaurant offers stunning views of the water. With both indoor and outdoor seating, patrons can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Michelle, our server, made us feel welcome and ensured our dining experience was special. We indulged in delicious dishes such as crab-filled mushrooms, side salad, potato soup, chicken strips, and fish and chips. The menu also includes a variety of specialty drinks and craft beers. Parking is available through the city's app-only payment system.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The firecracker sashimi was excellent and the kale served underneath it was a wonderful complement. The oysters, stuffed shrimp, and baked potatoes were also delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly. The complimentary bread (Hush Puppies and Cornbread) was a bit heavy, but overall we would gladly return to this restaurant.

The service at this restaurant is consistently good. They allow dogs inside or on the terrace, with great views of the river. It is a pleasant experience to eat here and take a walk along the river afterwards. The menu has a good selection of foods, and every meal I have had so far has been fresh and hot. I particularly enjoyed the crabcake sandwich and loaded potato. I wish they would add a dog menu for snacks for our four-legged friends.

Maybe we dictated one night, but of all ordered items, only one had good taste and seemed well prepared, the shrimp salad. The name is a little misleading (not much salad on it), but the ingredients and the overall taste were very good. The crab cake was more filling than crabs. The taste was quite bland. The filled shrimps also had zero taste and was coated in something that tasted like white engraving. The fried lobster was just that. Our server made a big deal about it being 14 ounces, but there was not so much lobster as soon as the fried bowl was discarded! Based on what I saw at tables around us, I think that fried shrimps and other seafood are the best dishes. Your Hushpuppies are great, maybe the best we had at our table. The staff is friendly and reasonably efficient, although he never brought the oysters we ordered. The place was jammed when we arrived at 19:00, but tied up until the end of dinner. The service was slow, but I owe it to the heavy crowd.

There is no way you can tell me these reviews weren?t ?paid? maybe I came on the wrong day, but I doubt it. this place was not anything to write home about. Our Waitress wasn?t good. The cheese in the cheese balls tasted sort of cheap like it didn?t pair well with the sauce on the outside. The stuffed mushrooms were surprisingly delicious. Parking is $6 you have to go through several hoops to pay it if the machine is down. Don?t waste your time or money.
