They serve dinner until 7 PM, and you have the option of breakfast as well. The owners are very welcoming, and I couldn't have asked for more. It's convenient to have breakfast and dinner just downstairs. Overall, it's a perfect spot for anyone walking the West Mendip Way, especially at the end of day one of three (having started at Uphill, Weston Super Mare).
The food was disappointing, with limited options, especially for vegetarian or vegan diets. They didn't even have any butter available. The service was lacking as well. It's a real disappointment.

We went for lunch and there was a long wait for food, despite not being busy. However, it was cooked from scratch to order and tasted amazing. Customer service was a little iffy from a dour older woman behind the bar who didn't want us to take a menu outside to look at but everyone else was really friendly. The table next to us spuriously sent back a meal because it had a bug in it well, we were sitting outside so it was a real possibility it was going to happen and the staff took back the meal without complaining and provided a fresh one. When our meals then came out, we were advised to watch out for bugs landing! The toilets were clean and well stocked with little extras. We would visit again. Food drinks: Food being cooked to order meant it tasted really good. Worth the wait!
The atmosphere is nice and peaceful. The staff and locals are friendly. Enjoying Thatchers Gold while sitting on the grass was simply perfect.
