Airport Pizzeria - Cheektowaga

As a Buffalonian who has tried pizza and wings outside of Buffalo, I can confidently say that this restaurant serves authentic Buffalo-style pizza and wings. The sauce and cheese are just right, and the wings are saucy, spicy, and crispy. We ordered our food around 9 PM to our hotel near the airport, and were informed that delivery would take about an hour. Surprisingly, the owner arrived with our fresh, hot pizza and wings only 40 minutes later. Anyone who doubts the quality of Airport Pizza clearly hasn't tried pizza outside of Buffalo. We arrived at this restaurant straight from the airport, and its name was fitting. It was the top-rated spot in the area, and although we had come for the Buffalo Wings, it was the Pizza that stole the show. I usually find that many places add too much salt for flavor, but the pizza here was perfect. The crust was wonderfully crisp on the outer layer, while the inner layer was moist and chewy, with fresh and savory ingredients that made it one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Our group was from NYC, with me having lived in Chicago for 25 years and having made a few trips to Italy, so you can trust me when I say it was impressive. The salad was fresh and tasty as well. The Buffalo Wings were delicious, not too salty or vinegary. I would have preferred some celery sticks with the blue cheese sauce, but maybe I have just gotten used to more typical places. The owner was very friendly, and overall, I would definitely come back again.

Do not be fooled by the simple name, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The salad was incredibly fresh and crisp, the wings had the perfect balance of salt and flavor, and the artisan pizza was absolutely delicious! My daughter loved the crunchy crust. I was born in Buffalo, but we left in 1982 when I was just a kid. In October 2022 I returned with my husband to visit Niagara Falls. I wanted some genuine Buffalo-style pizza... The kind with the sweeter sauce and pepperoni that cups up to hold the grease! I read lots of reviews for different places in town while planning our trip and decided on Airport pizza based off other reviews. Google said they opened at 10am. We arrived at 11:30am. They recently changed their hours and now don't open til 3pm. (11am for Bills games . Luckily someone (the owner? was there and was gracious enough to whip us up a pepperoni pizza that was every bit as good as I remember from my childhood! If you want classic Buffalo pizza, this is the place!!

Exceptionally good pizza and wings enjoyed the more recycle-friendly packaging. The man working was very accommodating and welcoming. Well done!
